A statement piece with history. The alchemists of the Middle Ages considered it possible to transform substances from the base to the noble and enrich them by dissolving and changing matter. For the representatives of external alchemy, gold, as the noblest of metals, was considered the main target of the so-called material transmutation. In contrast, the goal of the representatives of inner alchemy was the transmutation of the spirit. Analogously, there was an outer and inner philosopher's stone.
The overwhelming number of alchemists devoted themselves to the outer philosopher's stone in the hope of wealth and immortality, not knowing that there was also another goal of the exercises, the transformation of the experimenter himself...
