The world soul (Anima Mundi) is a natural philosophical concept. It is based on the idea of an analogy between the totality of the cosmos and the individual living being, especially the human being. The universe as macrocosm is supposed to be structured analogously to the human being, the microcosm. Just as one imagines a single living being as animate and animated, one can also conceive the cosmos as a living organism endowed with its own soul. An idea from which one can draw much new courage and strength....
