Layer after Layer

The texture of my works emerges slowly. It crystallizes peu a peu through the superimposition of numerous layers of paint. It is always exciting to observe what develops in this painting process....

Each color is applied quite fluidly, has to dry for at least 24 hours and then the next day it goes one step further. To apply each layer does not take very long in itself - but the sum makes it!

That's why, for example, in a commissioned work, I can not deliver a picture within a week - it's completely impossible. At least three weeks of work on successive days are in this painting method. This, by the way, even with a relatively small format.

But the result is worth the effort, do not you think?

I've put together a short video where you can see snippets of the work and get an idea of how it can look on a wall - whether it's white or colored walls, or rooms with rough plaster or wood panels.

Just click on the image to see the video!
